This application is applying for the roles of Teamspeak and Discord Administrators, hence the name of Communication Administrators. Have you been staff on any other communities (If so, please list your position, community and at least one reference and their SteamID)?: No I havent What is your current rank in-game (e.g.: User, Respected, Gold, ect)? : I'm an administrator, RPO & have Gold donator rank Are you familiar with Discord/Teamspeak permissions and settings?: I know just about everything when it comes to discord, i am not as familiar with teamspeak. On a scale of 1 to 10, how well are you known throughout the community by both players and staff members?: I would say i am around a 9 or a 10, I feel like i have made myself well known in the community as a Major General & a moderator. Are you currently in Colossal Gaming Steam group?: Yes i am. Do you follow and enforce the rules to the best of your ability?: You know it. Do you accept that you cannot treat your friends any differently to ordinary players?: I understand this Do you have a microphone that you can use to assist you while dealing with people?: Yes I do. Do you agree not to annoy any event staff while they are hosting events?: I know the stress of getting an event setup interrupted and understand that it is irritating, I agree not to interrupt anything that isn't my business. Rank Agreement How often do you use the Discord/Teamspeak server?: I use the teamspeak every so often, using it to help with events & occasionally talk to others. But on the Official CG discord I am currently at the No.1 position on the mee6 leaderboard, I use the discord quite often to help any players that may need help and to have a chat with people. Since our transition the CG discord is where i communicate with my regiment and officers, from things like meetings to just a private channel to people to casually. If you become successful in your application, you will be given a Discord and a Teamspeak rank that is appropriate to the position you were successful in. Questions In One Paragraph, please explain why you would like to become a Communication Administrator?: I started writing this application before the announcement saying that Communication Admin positions were open. I understand that there are many new people now applying but I think that I could make a positive impact. Now that the CG discord is a bigger part of communication within the community, I would like to be a Communication Administrator. Mainly to help with the discord, currently there are only a couple Admins and I feel with the new update will come a new influx with players coming to the discord, evident by the Delta Force and Spetznaz Discords merging, moving all of Delta Force, 75th rangers, Spetz and other US and Taliban who chat in those discords. In One Paragraph, please describe how you would make an impact on the Communication servers as an Administrator?: As I stated before, my main impact would be making sure requests get answered as soon as possible, my other impact being providing any extra help to any members of the server on teamspeak/discord. Secondly I can ease the transition of any regiments that want to move to the CG discord. I can do this by helping create channels, set up permissions for the regiment leads, create roles that they may need and any other additional setup. Thirdly as I stated I am pretty familiar with Discord, I could help anyone unfamiliar with Discord to the best of my ability with Communication admin. I don't often use teamspeak but I know that people are constantly asking for their roles to be updated. With communication Admin i will be able to do that whenever I am in teamspeak. Scenarios Scenario 1: A User has been mic-spamming distorted/loud music in all of the public channels. They have since disconnected and you were only notified 20 minutes after the incident occurred. Question 1: As a Communication Administrator, how do you react?: Firstly I would join the channel where it was reported, I would then ask who it was micspamming. After that I would log it in a channel so that other discord admins can see that something has happened, next I would direct message the offender reminding him that mic spamming is against the Discord rules that he agreed to while joining the server, for a first offence I would just warn the player in the discord using the logging system, and message the offender that further rule breaking will result in a punishment in the discord. If he had past history of micspamming or breaking rules in the Discord, I may deny their access to voice channels for a while or kick them from the discord. Scenario 2: A User has been waiting in the HELPDESK channel for over an hour and a half. You join the help-desk channel to assist them and you discover they are quite agitated by your slow response. Question 2: As a Communication Administrator, how do you react?: I would first thank them for waiting as long as they had and apologize for the long wait, i would then help them as fast as I can to resolve the issue, whether it be roles that need to be assigned or general issues with discord, or the CG Discord. Have you been staff on any other communities (If so, please list your position, community and at least one reference and their SteamID)?: No, I have not been staff on any other server. How much game time on Colossal Gaming MilitaryRP do you have? (Provide proof): At the time of writing this application i have 33556 minutes or around 560 hours on the server. Are you familiar with the administration mod known as ‘ULX’?: Yes, I know the commands i believe are necessary to become a moderator, eg: !jail, !jailtp, !goto, !bring and !ban, !freeze, !shock, !warn, !xban and many others On a scale of 1 to 10, how well are you known throughout the community by both players and staff members?: I believe i am about an 8 to the staff team, but a 7 to the players. Are you currently in Colossal Gaming Steam group?: Yes i am. Do you follow and enforce the server rules to the best of your ability?: Yes, I make sure to follow the rules on the server and to make myself familiar with them. If so, please explain to us why we should still accept you: I do not have any bans, or warns. Communication Servers Agreement How often do you use the Official CG Discord server?: I don’t use the official discord server that much but I am active in the Delta force discord. How often do you use the TeamSpeak server?: I use the Team speak server a lot. If you become successful in your application, you will be given a Discord & TeamsSpeak Server Group that is appropriate to the position you were successful in. Please understand that you may not be given access to this Server Group instantly. Questions Why should the staff team accept you as a Moderator on Colossal Gaming Military Roleplay?: I believe I should be accepted due to my dedication to the server, I am new compared to other players but I try to remain active. I also believe I should be accepted due to my ability to help newer players, this is shown by my efforts in the regiment I am in, Delta Force. Finally I think i should be accepted due to my want to help the server maintain its community by enforcing the rules. Discuss your ability to work in a team and give examples that demonstrate this: I am able to work in a team greatly, shown by my time as an Event Master, as an EM i had to work with other people to get events up and running to keep the server exciting, I also show my team working skills by maintaining friendliness within Delta Force and other players, in both US in Taliban. Discuss any past experiences that you believe have impacted the server and player(s) positively: My role as an Ex-Event Master and RPO show my impact towards the community, running events and trying to keep the server fresh for the players, I also believe that I have made an impact on players in the US, being both the medic, infantry and reconnaissance commander superviser (running tryouts for those positions & helping them do their job) Describe your personality and speak a little about yourself: I don’t enjoy talking myself up so I'll keep it concise. I view myself as pretty easy going and calm, I enjoy having fun and messing around but I will obviously keep it serious in my staff role, Finally I think I am a friendly person, as I will talk to just about anyone and try to remain calm and composed in all situations. Scenarios Scenario 1: A Player is running around on the server and rdming constantly. Despite previous warnings from other staff, this player is still on his murder spree. All the other staff has logged off and you are the only one left. The player count is around 35. You've encountered this player before and have found him to be quite the minge. Question 1: As a Moderator, how do you react? My first step would be to !jail [their name] so I have time to make it to the admin room and deal with it better, once I make it to the room I would quickly unjail him and !jailtp him to the room. I would then check his warnings using the command !warn, depending on how many warns he has will depend on the ban length, if he has no warns he would get 1 week, 1 warn for massRDM or RDM and he would get a 2 week ban, if he has 2 or 3 warns I would ban him for a month or 2, 4+ warns in a smallish period of time I would permanently ban him as he clearly has no intent to play the server. To warn him I would use the !warn command, find his name and warn him using the menu, the warn reason being RDMx35 - previous warnings from other staff to stop - 1 Week ban, then to ban him I would get his steamID using tab menu, then use !xban, banning him for 1 week for MassRDM. Scenario 2: A well-known Player has Mass-RDMed a small squad of Players on his own team. This Player has been a very great member in the past, however recently you've observed that they are slipping up a lot. Question 2: As a Moderator, how do you react? I can’t treat anyone differently as staff so the punishment will be the same, I would !jailtp him to an area away from everyone if not on home map but if we are I would go the the admin box. From there I would use !plogs to check how many people he killed and who, I would then use !warn to check his warns and decide in the punishment, if they have a warn for RDM/MRDM within 3 / 4 months I would add more to his punishment (using the warning system I used in the previous question). I would then warn him using the warn menu and ban him using !xban and using the menu from then, if I am unable to ban for the length of time necessary I would use admin chat and say @ can someone extend [steamid] for MassRDM - don’t kill teammates [number] week ban. I hope you consider my application to become staff, I would like honest opinions so if you want to tell me your thoughts feel free Apologies for any spelling or grammatical errors, not exactly my strong suit. I am aware that I retired from Event Master a month ago but I have taken a small break from the server & from staffing and I think I am ready to return.
