In One Paragraph, please explain why you would like to become an Event Master on MilitaryRP:
I would like to become an event master because I want to improve the quality of events. One of the ways I could achieve this is by taking suggestions from the community more frequently and letting everyone have a say is what they want to experience. Another way of achieving this goal is to work closely with other Event Masters and taking on suggestions and giving suggestions to others, this would increase the quality of events overall.
In One Paragraph, please explain how you will bring new, interesting and creative Event Ideas to the table?:
If I was an Event Master, I would have events planned out and after a specific goal is achieved a plot twist happens that would change the whole map’s prop layout and therefore playstyles used. An advantage to this is that as well as getting a sense of things happening in the story, it would also prevent spawn campers because the routes would change to get to objectives and the map could go to being a long - mid-range to being a short-mid range. This would also fix a problem with teams and Reigs, Regis that excel at long-range combat (Scouts/Al-Murbatiun) often rule the event when it is based around Long-Mid range combat but by having the scenery change it will make other Regis that were weak earlier in the event stronger without having to change the map.
Briefly describe how a "Typical Event" is run (Keep it short, you will provide a more detailed answer further in the application)?:
A "Typical Event" is run by having a briefing for both sides which are the opposites of each other for each side, then we travel to a map that is Long-Mid Range and get a recap of the earlier briefing before the first half of the event starts, next, we go to a mid-close range map and receive another briefing (the briefing will change whether or not we lost the last part of the event or not), once the second part of the event finishes levels are given out (the amount depends on how well you did), Finally we go to home map and have a debrief which will sum-up how well we did during the event along with promotions.
Scenario 1: Users are complaining about the quality of the Event you are running despite only being 2 minutes into the Event. You spent almost an hour crafting this event and you were very keen to run it.
Question 1: As an Event Master, how do you react?
I would attempt to keep my cool and ask them what they find wrong about it, if they are complaining just for the sake of it then I will give them a verbal warning to stop complaining if you can’t see anything wrong with it. If they have reason to complain and point it out to me then I will take the criticism on-board and use it to increase the quality of future events
Scenario 2: During your Event, you urgently need to go AFK. You will most likely not return in time to finish the event and it has only been running for 5 minutes.
Question 2: As an Event Master, how do you react?
I would contact another Event Master who is on the server, send them the scripts and plans for the event, they would hopefully be able to continue the event until I am able to return and continue the event. If I am not able to return before the event ends when I return I would apologise to the server and make sure that everything went smoothly and that people liked the event before thanking the event master who took over.
You must craft your own Event from start to finish (Include Briefing and Debriefing). You are required to use full details such as map, actions (e.g. !model @ "model"), plot twists etc. Remember to include PassiveRP Elements!
Event Overview: A zombie Survival event where Tali and US Army work together, and a Boss Battle and a Reinforcement Race
Map: Streets gm_emp_streetsoffire, gm_emp_bush
Briefing (US Side): Recently our scouts have discovered a scientist that has been acting very suspicious, after we investigated it was discovered that he is developing a zombie virus and is planning to release it on a nearby city, unfortunately, we have been weakened by our war with the Taliban. Because of the nature of the threat, we have had to approach the Taliban for help as the problem could affect them too. The Taliban have accepted our offer, but I recommend you be wary of them as they could still betray us.
Briefing (Tali Side): Apparently the US have discovered a scientist nearby that is developing a zombie virus, as this potentially effects us we are forced to work with them to defeat the scientist, I don't trust them, so stay alert and don't trust them. We will need to be prepared for betrayal as the US dogs will never pass up an opportunity to get the upper hand.
Briefing (on the 1st map, same for both sides): Unfortunately we have arrived too late and the mad scientist has released the virus on the city and has plunged it into chaos, the scientist fled shortly before we arrived and we don't know where he went to. We are going to have to fight through the hordes of infected civilians to get to the scientist's laboratory and discover any clues that may give any hints to his current location.
The two teams will then proceed to fight through waves of zombies and attempt to hold a point whilst the data from the scientist's computers is downloaded.
Map 2: gm_emp_bush (Will be reinforcement/boss fight)
Briefing (for both sides) We have been able to track the scientist to a remote bunker out in the mountains, our goal is to kill him as he is too dangerous to be kept alive. (this Part is to be told to each team privately) Once the boss is defeated Turn on the Taliban/US army and eradicate them.
Debrief (for Losers): During the event, we have achieved something great, we have defeated someone who could potentially destroy the human race!, Unfortunately though we were betrayed by the (winning team), and they stole some of our munitions stockpile as well as many of our fine soldier's lives. (hand the DB over to the highest rank to do Promos/announcements)
Debrief (for winners): During the last event we, fucking played the (losing team)! we also managed to thin-down their numbers and we were able to steal a large portion of their munitions stockpile. To be honest, we had the best of intentions when we started taking down the mad scientist, but when he was defeated we seized the moment and crushed the (losing team) well-done boys! (hand the DB over to the highest rank to do Promos/ announcements )
