Why should the staff team accept you as a Moderator on Colossal Gaming Military Roleplay?: I've been playing CG Military Role-Play since around mid-2018, so I have a decent amount of knowledge and experience of the community and the server in general. With my powers as a moderator, I would do my utmost to uphold the rules and the well-being of the players and the server, and try my best to entertain the players through mini-events, etc. And as a fellow member of the staff team, I would bring humour, trustworthiness and reliability.
Discuss your ability to work in a team and give examples that demonstrate this: My ability to communicate and express myself in teams, whether that would be in-game or in-real-life is strong. During times in-game where I have to work as a squad in a role-play situation, I am able to communicate with my squad effectively and clearly and help out the squad wherever I can. Additionally, I am generally a very approachable and down-to-earth person, and I believe that would further add to my ability to work in a team.
Discuss any past experiences that you believe have impacted the server and player(s) positively: Whenever I am playing on the server, I always attempt to keep a lighthearted and cheerful atmosphere for the players. Despite this, whenever role-play is expected, I consciously try to keep the situation as realistic as possible to allow the best immersion for all players involved. Additionally, I always try to build better relationships with players in-game, which I believe is what makes CG such an attractive server - the relationships between players and staff.
Describe your personality and speak a little about yourself: For people that know me, I'm a pretty fun guy. I am 99% of the time cheerful and loud, and I do my best to make all situations as funny and as excitable as possible. I'm a pretty down-to-earth person, and I like to believe that people feel like they can approach me for any questions regarding the server, or their life in general.
Scenario 1: A Player is running around on the server and rdming constantly. Despite previous warnings from other staff, this player is still on his murder spree. All the other staff has logged off and you are the only one left. The player count is around 35. You've encountered this player before and have found him to be quite the minge.
Question 1: As a Moderator, how do you react? First, I would assess the situation by using !cloak to see what is going on. After I've seen what he is doing, I would noclip and go under the map or to an area where we could not be interrupted and !jailtp the player. I would then ask why he is RDMing and then tell him the consequences for it. If the player had previous warns and was known to be a minge, I would certainly ban him, but the duration would be dependent on the type of RDMing he was doing, his attitude during the sit and the types of warns he had. Since he was running around and RDMing, it is safe to assume that at that point, he had killed multiple people and therefore would be considered a MRDM, hence the ban duration would be a minimum of 5 days or more.
Scenario 2: A well-known Player has Mass-RDMed a small squad of Players on his own team. This Player has been a very great member in the past, however recently you've observed that they are slipping up a lot.
Question 2: As a Moderator, how do you react? First, I would !tp the players involved in the MRDM and ask their views on the situation and question them on whether the MRDM was all jokes or harmful. Then, I would !tp the offender, and ask his side of the story; if the stories didn't align, I would assume the statement of the majority to be true, if the MRDM was just jokes between the squad, I would warn the player for MRDM. If the MRDM was deemed to be harmful, he would receive a ban for 5-7 days or more. I would tell the offender about the consequence I have chosen, and tell them that their attitude recently hasn't been up to the proper standard; I would tell them that as a well-known member of the community, they have a big influence on players and that they should use this time (if it's a ban) to improve themself and think about their actions. If the consequence was a warn, I would tell them to make sure that the messing around with his squad is not to the extreme and to be more careful with his actions.
